jubilee hall clubs home
the charity

Introduction
Jubilee Hall Clubs is a charitable sports trust (Charity No. 273562), established in 1978, and dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of our local communities. We operate five health, fitness and sports clubs in central London and also deliver a number of community-based programmes. Our charitable status means that all of your subscriptions remain within the organisation and are either re-invested to improve the facilities or are used to further the objects of the charity
Covent Garden
Jubilee Hall Clubs originated in 1978 as a community sports centre in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. Based in the Covent Garden Piazza on the first floor of Jubilee Hall Market, the building was originally designed in 1897 to house flowers, and was later used as a fruit and vegetable market up until the 1970’s when Covent Garden Market relocated to Vauxhall. The local community then developed the hall into a sports centre, thus creating the environment for the health and fitness club, now known as The Gym, Covent Garden
Hampstead
After operating the Covent Garden club successfully for 14 years The Armoury, an old Victorian Drill Hall in Hampstead, was taken on as a second club in 1992. The Armoury is now a thriving health and fitness club and remains at the forefront of development of our GP Referral and Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme
Westminster
In 1999, after a highly competitive tender process, we were awarded the prestigious management contract of the Westminster Gym in the House of Commons. Operating as a purely commercial club, the profits generated are used to underpin the community projects of Jubilee Hall Clubs. Such was our success, that our contract was renewed in 2002, and again in 2004
Southwark
In 2000 The Colombo Centre, joined in partnership with Jubilee Hall Clubs to develop a fourth club, serving the community by providing health and fitness facilities and community programmes in Southwark. Once again our success meant the renewal of the contract in 2002 and 2005
Regent’s Park
In July 2006, we opened our fifth London facility, the Regent’s Gym at International Students House (ISH). The gym was secured on a 5-year contract and caters for the 600 student residents at ISH, as well as being open to the local community
